REV. KENNETH W. RICHEY, age 80 of White Pine, TN went to be with his Lord Friday morning, March 5, 2010. Rev. Richey was a retired pastor of the First Baptist Church of White Pine where he served faithfully for 27 years. He made himself available to minister to the needs and offer Christian love to anyone in the community that called upon him. Kenneth was a well-respected citizen and pillar of the White Pine area, where he was a member of the White Pine Lions Club and was always supportive of community activities. Besides his dedication to his ministry, he enjoyed farming and being with his family. He will be affectionately remembered as a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that have been touched by him. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Isobel Richey; children, Danny Richey, Dorothy Richey and David (Amy) Richey; grandchildren, Miranda Richey, Mirena (Tex) Hall, Abby and Ally Richey; great-grandchilden, Lizzy and Nola Hall; three sisters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 3:00pm at the First Baptist Church of White Pine with Rev. Brian Osborne and Rev. Mike Sledge officiating. Interment to follow in White Pine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts in memory of Kenneth Richey be made to a church or charity of your choice. Friends may call Saturday afternoon and evening at the funeral home and the family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00pm prior to services at the church.
JAMES "DON" COLLINS, age 81, of White Pine, TN passed away at Heritage Center in Morristown on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 after a lingering illness. He was the former owner of Dandridge Building Supply and an employee of Allen-Surrett Hardware. Don was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of White Pine. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Naomi Collins; wife of 50+ years, Violet Collins; son, Jerry Collins; brothers, Herbert, Carroll and Larry. Don is survived by his daughters, Gail and Joe Ivy of White Pine, Nancy White of Morristown, Linda and Mike McLean of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Sally Atkins, Shirley Collins, Wanda "Cookie" Kimborough and Hazel Smith; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Carl Wolfe. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Heritage Center for the care given to their father. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with Rev. Paul Lamb and Rev. T. H. Ferrell officiating.
MARGARET LOUISE SAMPLES, age 84, of White Pine, TN passed away at Heritage Center in Morristown on Sunday, February 21, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Maude Osborne; husband, Bruce Samples; daughter, Debbie Price; sisters, Edna and Edith Osborne, Mary Ellen Jordan, Lena Gorman; brother, J.P. Osborne; infant grandson, Jonathan Holt; and infant great gradndaughter, Lauryn Price. Survivors include sons, Gary (Lyn) Samples of White Pine, Scott (Tierney) Samples of Blandon, PA; daughters, Sharon (Jack) Davis of White Pine, Shelia (Joe) Thornhill of Maryville; sister, Helen Osborne of White Pine; grandchildren, Joel Davis, Steven (Robin) Davis, Candace Davis, Summer (Mickie) Phillips, Katine (Donnie) Doty and Daniel (Kimberly) Price, Brandon Holt, Adam (Brittany) Thornhill, Megan (Scott) Woody, Alisha (Boyd) Neely, Ambra (Rob) Miralles and Courtney (Andy) Gibson, Tyler and Christopher Samples; great-grandchildren, Katie and Kohl Davis, Bryce and Alyssa Doty, Jackson Davis, Evyn and Aiden Price and Kaley and Keirsten Neely, Cadence and Autumn Phillips, Olivia Holt, Ayden Miralles; and several nieces and nephews. She loved the Lord, her family and helping others. She enjoyed quilting, making stuffed animals for children, writing stories, baking, farming and cooking Sunday dinner for the entire family. Mamaw will no doubt tend to a flower garden in Heaven as she watches over all those who will miss her. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. T. H. Ferrell and Joel Davis officiating.
ROBERT LEWIS SEAHORN, age 78, of White Pine, TN passed away Tuesday evening, February 9, 2010 following an extended illness. In keeping with his wishes, his body was donated for medical research. A memorial service celebrating his life will be announced at a later date.

J. D. SINARD, age 79, of White Pine, TN passed away at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital on Monday, January 18, 2010. He was the son of the late Earl and Hannah Sinard, and was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lillie Sinard; one son, Curtis (Robin) Sinard; one daughter, Brenda (Freddie) Collins of Morristown; two step-daughters and one step-son; seven grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a special niece, Diane Shiflett of White Pine. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Morristown-Hamblen ICU and CCU and
3rd South. Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at White Pine Cemetery with Rev. Charles Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine.

JAMES M. BOLLING, age 64, of White Pine, TN passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. He was retired from American Enka with 33 years of service. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Preceded in death by parents, Jessie Boyd, Sr. and Emma Bolling; sisters, Gertrude Bolling, Pearl Atkins and husband, Roy; brothers, Escar Bolling, Rev. E. B. SYLVIA “GAIL” (REED) SINARD, age 68, of White Pine, TN passed away Thursday evening January 14, 2010 following a brief illness. Gail was born May 23, 1941 in White Pine, TN, the daughter of the late Eulis and Nannie (Ward) Reed. She remained a life-long resident of White Pine, attending school, raising her family, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She worked at and retired from Magnavox. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister who will be remembered for her loving, self sacrificing deeds, generosity and hard work for the benefit of her family and many others. Preceded in death by her son, James Michael Sinard; sisters, Dorothy Blanchard and Carolyn Ellis. Survived by sons, Ricky and Regina Sinard, Billy (Hen) Sinard, Curt and Susan Sinard; grandchildren, Josh and Christi Sinard, Katie Jo and Jason Knight, Sarah Jane Sinard, Michael Logan Sinard, Jacob and Abigail Sinard; great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Knight, Georgia Kate Knight and Daegan Hommell; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Barbara Reed; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010, 7:00 pm at the Leadvale Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Interment graveside services will be Monday, 11:00 am at White Pine Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday evening, 5:00 to 7:00 pm prior to services at the church.

Barbara Jean Patty Sutton, of White Pine, TN, formerly of Maryville, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at her home. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church in White Pine, TN and enjoyed many years as director of White Pine Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel E. Patty. She is survived by her spouse, James Sutton; mother Elizabeth Braden Patty; sister, Phyllis Patty Turley; children, Cathy ODell, Jeff Sutton and Sammi Winstead; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. Special thanks are offered to honorary family member Frankie Samples, Dr. Tony Daniel and the staff of Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice. Funeral service for Mrs. Sutton will be on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 6:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with Rev. Brian Osborne, Rev. Randy Irons and Rev. Mike Sledge officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Graveside interment will be on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at 11:00am in Hamblen Memory Gardens, Morristown.

LUCILLE LARGE, age 86, of White Pine, TN, a resident of the Jefferson County Nursing Home, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 29, 2009. She was a member of the Nina Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her father and mother, William McKinley and Addie Clevenger Large; brothers, Leonard, Paul and William "Bill" Large; sisters, Annie, Mary Frances, Margaret and Ruth. Survived by sister, Earlene Eddington of White Pine; brothers, James (Mildred) Large of Russellville, KY and Alvin (Margaret) Large of Dandridge; sisters-in-law, Joyce Large of White Pine and Reba Large of Powell; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Farrar White Pine Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Norris and Dr. Earl McCosh officiating. Interment to follow at French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
